For an example of their style of worship a typical service would open with the congregation standing, singing several exuberant choruses. Songs of victory, songs of praise, songs of joy and thankfulness are sung as they “Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving”. The tempo is then slowed with choruses of Worship as they “Enter into His Courts with Praise”. Effort is given to use music to suit the ‘Old-Timers’ as well as the younger members.
Prayer is offered for the sick and for those with other needs. Applause is given to God for the privilege of giving to Him in the offering, followed with a lively offertory.
The format is definitely not rigid. There is a relaxed, informal feeling. The sermon is anything but boring. The Word is brought to encourage, lift and is usually filled with humorous excerpts, but always giving a challenge to take you to a deeper level of Service to God. Not just a “feel good” message, but sometimes stepping on toes as the Word of God gives correction and guidance.
In closing there will be a call for sinners, as well as Christians, to be changed and brought closer to Christ
